Train yourself to challenge your ego mind and tap in to what you truly know and feel about any situation in your life, with this free interactive worksheet.

What is it that separates us 'humans' from the rest of the mammals in this world? The fact that we walk on two legs? Well....yes, that is something. But, the real, and most important thing is that we are self-aware.
We, in this human experience have been gifted with the amazing ability to form our own thoughts, know how we feel, analyse any situation and tap in to our own intuition. When you think about it, it's truly amazing!
The trouble is, however, that most of the time many of us are stuck on just the thoughts, and ironically, tend to forget the rest.
The ego mind, although often given a bad rap, serves a helpful purpose in our daily lives, such as providing us with the ability to perform daily tasks; reminding us to pick up something for dinner on the way home, keeping the mind active while driving or telling us to hold onto our opinion when the boss is being obnoxious.
When it comes to being self-aware, however, the ego mind is a mere drop in the ocean of our consciousness; and most of the time, it actually blocks us from being in touch with our true selves.
“Ego is just like dust in the eyes. Without clearing the dust, we can’t see anything clearly, so clear the ego and see the world.” - Anonymous
When a person is ego driven, they are solely focussed on what they can get in life. They can be thought obsessed, worrisome, vain, and angry. 'Keeping Up Appearances' is very important to the ego, as are the opinions of others.
People who are ego driven let outside influences determine their state of being, such as fuel prices, politics, international conflicts, pandemics or more personal issues such as problems at work or at home. The ego mind is obsessed with analysing scenarios and situations, most of which, usually have never or will never happen.
The sole purpose of pursuing the true self, or soul, however, is in what a person can give. When someone is in touch with the self, and living their truth, they are more focussed on their intuition and feeling. They acknowledge their thoughts, but let them go and do not let them influence situations or decisions. They do not let other people or world events influence their mood or state of being.
A person in touch with their true self will continually be learning and growing, knowing that life is a beautiful journey to be enjoyed, not a destination.
So, in order to begin to challenge the ego mind, and discover more of the true self, you need to practice; It's like flexing your muscles, the more you do it, the stronger you'll get!
When you begin to do the work and challenge your own ego mind (your thoughts), you will open yourself to the amazing world you already have within you (your truth or soul).
How it Works
This free worksheet is designed to do help you practice separating your ego mind (thoughts) from your truth (your soul).
All you need to do is write down something that's happening in your life right now: a problem that's been bothering you, a dream you have, a situation you're currently in, say with work, family or friends, or an event that has/is about to take place.
After you've written down the situation, record the immediate thoughts you have about it (My Ego). When you've exhausted all the things your ego has to say about it, stop for a moment and feel into the situation. Tap into your intuition and then record what you actually think/feel about it (My Truth).
Here's an example:

Try it out yourself, and you may be surprised that the the responses between your ego and your truth are very different.
